An RP set in the dangerous world of privateers, love, adventure, and treasure. Two rival ships compete for control of the Seven Seas, but who will survive?

Occupation/Position: First Mate/Quartermaster
Personality: Viktor grew up as Russian nobility, but fled his family due to a well-kept, cruel accident. He traveled around the world, eventually ending up on the Crimson Tide, where he easily made his way up to First Mate. Although he is young, his crew mates treat him with as much respect as their captain. It would seem at times Viktor and the Captain are equal in fear and reverence. He is eloquent and intelligent with the deadliness of ten men. His loyalty to the ship is only second to his beloved sisters.
Brief Appearance: Viktor is extremely built with the height of 6'7. He has red eyes and an aura that gives off authority. He has a scar running across the left-side of his face which he covers up with his thick hair. He keeps his hair back in a loose, low pony tail, though his thick bangs always get blown by the wind.

Occupation/Position: Cabin Boy
Personality: Feliciana comes from a wealthy Italian merchant family. She was tired of being stuck in tight corsets and ridiculous etiquette and has wanted to run away her whole life. Finally, her arranged marriage was the last straw. Her training in the art of seafare and combat came in handy. She fled and cross-dressed as Feliciano to become a cabin boy on the famous Her Majesty's Rose. Feliciana's only fear is what would become of her if the crew found out she was a woman. She is very wary of the Captain and even more with his sister, since she as a woman would be keener to another's presence. Feliciana tries to speak in a sailor's tongue, but there are cases where her high society vocabulary leaks out. She usually tries to stay away from the spotlight, but will always speak up against something unfair.
Brief Appearance: Feliciana has little-past her shoulders length (she cut it, originally to the small of her back), light brown, curly hair which she ties back in a messy, low ponytail. She hides her soft curves with large men's clothing and binds her breasts. Her eyes are amber-like with an everlasting fire of adventure burning inside them.

Personality: Born in Hispaniola, Esmeralda grew up on the high seas, so she is very skilled at her job. Most claim she's the best around. Although she is one of the few women sailors, she handles her crew with a iron grip. She is fiery and will stand her ground when fighting for something she believes in. Esmeralda lives for sailing and the sensation of feeling the sea's wind in her hair is like a drug. Her parents were killed by colonial Englishmen when she was only starting to walk. Little did she know her mother was, in fact, a siren. Esmeralda inherited her mother's entrancing singing voice, but keeps it to herself. She has joined the Crimson Tide to exact revenge on the Imperial Crown. Her fury for Englishmen is only matched by the Captain.
Brief Appearance: Esmeralda has thick, long brown hair and darker eyes. She is 5'7 and has full lips and long lashes. Her skin is naturally a darker olive tone but is more of a beautiful golden brown due to long hours on deck. Due to many lusting suitors and her demanding job, she isn't a fan of dresses and wears a pair of tight breeches with a loose ivory shirt, a crimson sash (showing her loyalty to the ship), and thigh-high leather boots. She carries a mid-range pistol with intricate ivory patterns of sea life engraved on the wooden handle.

Personality: Atticus is a very smart and suave guy. He used to lead a life full of women, alcohol, and art until he met Yukiko Honda. He was a very accomplished trader, though his true passion was sculpture. He saw Yukiko while trading on the docks and has been head over heels in love since. Now he is first mate on The Silent Empress and is completely dedicated to his captain. The Captain is the only woman he has ever not addressed his love with. As long as he is near her, he is happy. He is utterly devoted to her and his job, taking every little detail seriously. Whenever he is stressed, Atticus likes to carve beautiful bodies from white marble. He is terrified of surprises and hates the idea that his fate is not in his hands. Atticus does get nightmares of his past life every once in a while but hardly lets anyone know.
Brief Appearance: Atticus is deeply tanned, and both his hair and eyes are a dark brown. Small flame-like sparks dance in his eyes when he is excited or angry. Like all Vargases, Atticus has a wild curl in his hair, but it is very discreet. He is tall and stands at 6'1. His standard facial expression is a smirk though many say his smile lights fire in many hearts.

Personality:
Yukiko is a quiet girl who speaks only if spoken too. Though she may be a woman of little words, her ideas are brilliant and if you choose to speak to her, you will most definitely not regret it, making her a brilliant captain. Being silent definitely adds to her scary and mysterious aura. A single glance can set crew members in place without a word being spoken. At first she seems hospitable and friendly but really, she's cruel and fierce, the desire of kill strong. Approach her if you dare. Being self-raised has not changed anything about her, in fact, that's what made her so formal and hardworking. Although on the outside she seems emotionally strong and uncapable of feeling anything, she really is a softy and her feelings are very easy to break.
Even though girls are bad luck on ships, she will not hesitate to slit a throat at the mention.
Brief Appearance:
Yukiko is short and slim, her height being only 5’1. Her long, ebony, black hair is usually put into a bun for battle, though let loose while lounging. Her skin is quite tan, driving from her Ainu, Nivkh, and Orok roots. Her eyes are black, hiding a deep past in which she doesn't share, adding to her mysterious and emotionless look. Despite the rough life of a pirate, her features remain soft and feminine. Along her arms are various Ainu tattoos. She often switches between her samurai armor and her black imperial navy uniform (How she acquired this remains a secret to the crew.), but you may see her in a simple loose-fitting tunic and breeches.

Personality: Alex is seen to be pretty silent and distant towards people. Though when you get to know her she seems to be pretty energetic and odd. She is pretty sneaky and mischievous most of the time, during this time she is also pretty serious and blank faced.

Name: Alisstor Kirkland

Personality: Alisstor is a lover of freedom, and of course, being so, he was sometimes tempted to navigate the ocean. Besides, he hopes he could one day find the place where the Celtic Other World is. He prefers to follow his heart, rather than his reason, which makes him try mad things when he doesn't see any easy and reasonable alternative. He is not one to back away from a fight, and if he sees a ship, whether it is Spanish, French, or (even better !) English, he will not hesitate a minute to try and take it. He loves spending good times with his comrades, loves drinking (more whisky than rum though), but knows how to keep his authority. He never had to deal with rebellions.
Brief Appearance: Alisstor has a short red beard, and very acute green eyes that can distinguish ships from the horizon easily. He wears a long winter kilt, with the MacKenzie tartan. He has a Claymore for sword, and wears a white large shirt, and a blue scarf on his red hair, tied at his neck.

Occupation/Position: Bounty Hunter
Personality: Courageous, strong, intelligent, calm, and chivalrous. When taking in bounties alive, he prefers to hurt them as little as possible. When bringing them in dead, he ensures a quick and painless death. He was hired to capture any pirate captain he finds. Being paid more for live ones and half price for dead ones. What happens to the rest of the crew is up to him. He and a ship full of elite soldiers scour the seas and the coast for any pirates.
Brief Appearance: Tall and well built. Wears a black metal mask with tinted goggles and a black tricorn with a black white and gold ribbon. When not wearing either, he has black hair in a military style cut and rare golden eyes. He also wears a black jacket with gold buttons and white facing and a white vest beneath it. Completing the outfit, he wears white breeches and leather boots that go up to his knees. He is armed with two weapons: A custom made pistol slightly ahead of its time and an old knight sword both hanging from a white leather belt with a gold buckle.

Personality: Aleks has an easy time with orders. Making him a breeze to work with most days he tries not to "make waves" as it is. Aleks being the cook is usually out of the Captains way, and he is sure to stay on her good side. As well as with the rest of the crew. Being a chef on a pirates ship, Aleks has to be mindful of his knife and be quick on his feet to tend to the cooking food while the rolling waves cause the ship to pitch and sometimes become unbalanced. Being a cook doesnt excuse him from fighting should the ship be boarded by another crew. Swords though a weak point, are easy enough for him to weild with little difficulty treating them much like a larger, heavier knife in his hands. Aleks is always sure to keep an open mind when on ship. Due to the nasty words and rumors that can be spread, he finds it best to take them with a grain of salt and keep on. Sure to not let the rumors be they truths or falses get to his head.

Brief Appearance: Aleks' dress is that of a typical pirate. Loose fitting pants cut at the knee, their original color long since sunbleached and stained by blood and various other materials. A cloth sash tied about his waist with various small gold trinkets, mostly forgein coins punched through and afixed to the hem of the cloth sash. Skipping the shirt, his skin is tanned from his prolonged exposure to the sun and hair grown out pulled into a short pony tail, some loose hairs falling free of the tie though kept snuggly in place with the cloth about his head, more small coins afixed with beads and other decoration. The cloth, mainly meant to keep sweat and hair out of his eyes, does its job. Its faded red color complimenting his darkened skin and golden eyes. His smile is that of a better kept one, mostly straight teeth, sharper canines. His tattooed body darkened with exposure to sun giving him an interesting appearance. Its faint, almost invisible markings trick the eye if one wasn't looking close enough. Cloth wraps, gold and silver bands cover his wrists and fingers. Over his ears are hoops and cuffs of gold.

She very often will attempt to take advantage of pirates who come in, but under-estimates them. She will often sing for tips, and she can be easily overpowered, intimidated, or convinced to do things.

Personality: Jack is a hardy man, who likes to explore things. He loves to drink, and it can lead to him becoming gullible. Despite that, Jack often times takes risks, that sometimes pay off, and sometimes don't, but when the risks pay off, Jack will celebrate with a pint of rum. In some cases, Jack is very smart, and strategic, and can take down an enemy twice as strong as him.

Appearance: Jack has a peg leg, due to a duel with Yukiko, in which he lost a leg.

Name: Kassie Jones
Age: around 16 human years, but she's well over 100 since she's well, a mermaid.

Personality:Upbeat and curious, Kassie has always wanted to explore the world above. But she is rather limited since she has a tail. She's trying to find ways to get to the surface. She isn't content to stay in one place. So she is rather naive, but that doesn't mean she doesn't know how to take care of herself. She's very kind, but she's lived alone for as long as she can remember. Which is why if she left no one would miss her gone. Very independent, she isn't used to human interaction. Well any interaction really. Thus things like love and friendship are very new to her. For now she's content just wanting to explore the world above, maybe finding a family of her own and finding a place where she belongs. She's also slightly selfish so she may not be one to totally rely on if someone is in danger. Yet, she will lend a hand if it benefits her.

Brief Appearance: Kassie has long blonde hair reaching past her midback, as well as bright blue eyes. She is pretty thin and has a blue tail mixed with some tinges of purple, and long and draping fins. She also has a long purple cloth wrapped around her upper half to conceal her breasts and tied behind her. (Since seashells are painful to wear!) She also has a scar on her back from a shark attack when she was very little.

Personality: Bubbly and much like a whirlwind, Kiera is a force of nature. Much like her profession she studies the arts diligently until she grows bored and goes off to explore. She earns most of her money giving sick people cures and often taking on tasks that only a witch can handle. Unlike most dark witches of her time, she is rather a wild card. She mostly tries to do what is right. But that can sometimes mean she has to play the villain. She likes to test people since she has to get some entertainment in her life! She's a powerful being, but she doesn't have the attitude that goes a long with it. She's content on just living her life, however if someone is in danger she will help at the drop of a hat. Because of that she has a rather, unique reputation. She is still feared by people but most won't want to kill her. She also loves to dance and will often be seen dancing naked in the nearby woods. She also loves to garden and is often pretty dirty.

Brief Appearance: She has sea green eyes with tinges of blue mixed in, long red hair that's frizzy and curled. She often wears a corset and long white and green dress. She also has long black boots and is decently tall, around 5'4". She also often wears a knife on her belt as well as a pouch of money and herbs. She always carries a crystal with her imbued with magic.

Personality: He generally comes off as cold and emotionless. Kai’s one of those people who do things without thinking of the consequences, a ‘rebel’, one might say. Though he may seem cold, he is open-minded and is friendly and accepting to all towards of people. He isn’t at all athletic, being assigned cabin boy for that specific reason. He isn't all that sociable, but can be when needed.
Appearance: Kai's looks in general can be described as handsome, no matter how much he hates the way he looks. Kai is 5 feet and 7 inches tall. Along his arms are various tattooes, all connecting to form sleeves. Long, shaggy hair that almost cover his eyes, are blonde, though he wishes they were black. On his face are a pair of cold, brown eyes. He typically wears a plain white tunic and brown breeches.

Personality: David is serious on whatever he does. He doesn't feel guilty on someone's death, he's the lone wolf of everything. He rarely teams up with anyone. He is also the stealth-type, unless he's caught, he'll fight back with brute strength, or if he thinks the enemy is not good enough, he'll escape smoothly.  

Brief Appearance: His regular clothing is just a simple top (during the times), some grayish long pants with a brown belt and brown leather boots. He wears three different coats with the colors of Black and Red (See the reference). Under the coat, David has a variety of weapons and tools.

Occupation/Position: Master Carpenter

Personality: Peter is a happy and free spirited boy, who absolutely desires adventure. He is good with his hands and enjoys repairing things, which led him to his job. He doesn't take things very seriously, unless it deals with his job or friends. He is rather loud and annoying most of the time, which sometimes gets him into trouble.

Brief Appearance: He is a short and skinny fellow, being 4'3". He has messy blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and the Kirkland eyebrows.He wears a white sailor shirt with a blue collar, a blue neck tie, brownish shorts that go down to his knees, and a blue bandana tied up on his head. He usually wears a tool belt, which carries some nails and screws, and a small pocket knife.

Desired Ship/Crew: The Crimson Tide.

Position: Sailing Master/Chief Navigator.

Personality: Alkaios is a calm, gentle soul despite his intimidating looks. When it comes to emotional things, he isn’t the greatest, since he doesn't tend to feel them as much as other people. Alkaois is rather blunt and rude, sharing his honest opinion whether or not someone asked him for it, never sugar-coating his replies. Little is known about his past because he never, ever mentions it, adding on to his mysterious aura.

Brief Appearance: His looks in general seem to be rather intimidating, scary at that. Pale blue eyes always with a stern look are fixed upon his face, looking like they glow in the dark. He has naturally dark skin that he often decorates with white paint streaks. In contrast to his dark skin, he has choppy snow-white hair, bangs falling to about ear-length. His ears are pierced and decorated with 2-3 earrings.

Occupation/Position: Surgeon

Personality: witty, though agreeable and takes orders with little back talk. He is free spirited however, and makes light talk when possible while working on a patient or checking for any infection should that arise. He's agreeable in more than just personality but behavior as well.

Brief Appearance: Larus wears a scrap of fabric around their waist, his limited diet causing him to slim greatly from how he was before his time as a pirate. Fully dressed his clothes are most always covered in blood stains and other mystery stains covering his shirt and pants. No shoes for this surgeon, though if necessary he will don a pair of boots for land trips or being out on the main deck.

Name: Matteo Domenico Vargas Di' Medici

Occupation/Position: Chief Navigator
Personality: Shy, timid, polite, and soft-spoken, Matteo seems quite out-of-place on a pirate ship, but somehow he fits in with their lifestyle. He's a brilliant navigator, well educated and versed in reading maps, constellations, and knows quite a bit about sailing. The crew often wonder why this scholar-esque boy is a pirate at all.
He has an alter ego, who is a brute, a bully that terrorizes all in his path and in battle becomes a machine of carnage. But this is rarely seen... Usually he can be described as somewhat of a benevolent herbivore, personality-wise, not diet-wise.
Brief Appearance: Always immaculate, somehow, in his white tunic, khaki vest, and grey slacks. Matteo has a pale complexion with a head of sandy-brown hair and grey-blue eyes.

Name: Kirsten Leiffson
Age: She looks 21, but it's likely that she's over 300 because she's a mermaid.

Occupation/Position: Mermaid
Personality: Elusive, she's rarely seen by humans. Kirsten is a silent one, a quiet girl of few words. It can be said that one can never know what she's thinking. Even though she's normally calm and tolerant of humans, when caught in a net she is prone to extreme savagery. She will fight with every ounce of strength, like any cornered animal.
Brief Appearance: Don't be fooled by her gentle, ethereal appearance, with her long, dark hair, striking blue eyes, tan skin, and mermaid's fish tail, shingled with silvery blue scales. Kirsten is far from a defenseless but pretty fish. In her fingers are jagged claws like pieces of broken glass, retractable in the way cats can retract their claws. She wears streaks of white paint on her arms and face in a tribal pattern and a band of fabric around her torso for the sake of modesty. A simple frangipani flower adorns her hair.

Personality (I will add part of the biography here): As a kid, Simeon was born into and lived in a noble family. However, he was pretty rebellious even back then. He often ran away when they tried to turn his mind into that of a noble man. In turn, that made him very compassionate to the others problems, mostly to those that were poor. He despised how his family acted with them, though he did try to make his siblings see, though the boy doesn't know if he succeeded and even if he did, too long of a time has went by since than that they were probably made to think back the way they did before. But he couldn't survive that life and finally ran away. He found his way a pirate ship, more precisely to the Crimson Tide. Though he wasn't sure if this was the best way that he could help, he deemed it such and took up the post of a Cabin Boy. Hardly a year has past a now he stays as a cook - like most nobles, he was taught to bake very well. He was determined to be more than a Cabin Boy, it was insulting, after all. Happily, he made his way up to a cook and is hoping to get higher. One more thing about him - he is awfully blunt and doesn't always think when he should say something nice or reassuring. Even so, the one thing that he managed to hide well is were he has came from - no one knows or will know who he is exactly.

Brief Appearance: Simeon has black hair which he allows to grow longer, as his own type of rebellion - nobles hate unkept, long hair, after all. And he wants to keep as far away as he can from his old life. In addition, he has forest green eyes. He's tall and fit, first from training when he was a kid and later when he became a pirate, though he tries to hide when he trains himself. His clothes aren't something special, normal pirate clothes. Underneath his bed he keeps his old ones, if he ever needs them. Though he prefers not to need them.[/b]

personality: Henri is a very dedicated man, who loves wine, singing, dancing, and a good joke every once in a while. he is very sophisticated unless people are having a party. Henri will often times make jokes that he thinks are hilarious, but nobody else likes, or even understands sometimes. Henri loves dogs, and will never want to hurt one.

Personality: Jake is very ambitious, but has a skill of almost always making his mark, no matter how low the odds. Sometimes, Jake will become overly aggressive, and fire cannons into already sinking ships. despite this, he is always nice to his crew mates, and is a great story teller. On certain nights, he likes to imagine about being on the moon, or seeing the sun up close. Early in the mornings, Jake will be seen staring off at the sunrise however. This is because he likes to see the sky, and tell if it is gonna rain or not later. He also just likes the sunrise.
