Brief history:
The lost sea was discovered in 1863. It was used in the civil war to store ammunition. It was out of use for a few decades until it was discovered again in 1905. The full extent of the cave is unknown and is named the lost sea for the lake inside of it. The lost sea is now a tourist destination with glass bottom boat tours.
