Brief personality: Much like his father, Eirik is a quiet guy. He doesn't speak much unless spoken to. He's a mumbler, but doesn't like repeating himself, a situation he puts himself into more often than not. Eirik has a soft spot for kids though, and does awkwardly try to dote on them. As a far north set of islands, he doesn't talk and be around people much. He enjoys company when he has it, he just isn't the best with communicating. He loves to hold hands, hug, and generally be in contact with people. However, his hands are naturally very cold, and it's something he's very conscious about.

Brief physical description: Eirik is tall and strong. He is three inches over six feet tall, and has a broad build. He is pretty stock, with a healthy layer of chub over the little muscle tone he has. His skin is pale with light freckles dotting his cheeks. His hair is dirty blonde and spiked up in a faux hawk style. His auburn eyes look a bit droopy and sleepy. He dresses in layers, even in the summer, wearing a jacket year round. Most of his jeans are flannel lined, and you can count on him to have a pair of gloves handy.

Brief history: Svalbard was possibly discovered by Norsemen in the 12th century. However, the first known finding of it for sure was 1596. It wasn't until 1604 when England first landed there. They used the area to hunt walrus and whales. Many countries traveled there, and tried to use force to push each other out. It was settled mainly by the Dutch, English, and French. Later on, in the 20th century, Svalbard was put to use for exploration of the arctic and mining. Due to WWI interrupting discussions of who the archipelago belonged to, it was signed away to Norway, it's closest neighbor.
