At times she can be seen as shy and reserved, giving a cold impression. However, she cares greatly for those under her domain and loves helping those in need. She is a big fan of cute animals and children, easily being able to bring out their serene sides.

Brief physical description: Eira is relatively short with a height of 5 foot 2. Her skin is extremely fair and can frost anything by touch. She has long hair that changes shades of blue and white depending on her mood. Her huge eyes are a florescent teal that turn grey when she is upset. Her body temperature is normally 0 degrees Celsius but can change it by will. Eira usually wears a white, florescent cloak and dress spun from the winter air with patterns of snowflakes.

Brief history: Winter was born after the creation of the first Ice Age. It is the coldest season of the year, between autumn and spring; the name comes from an old Germanic word that means “time of water” and refers to the rain and snow of winter in middle and high latitudes. The concept of winter in European languages is associated with the season of dormancy, particularly in relation to crops; some plants die, leaving their seeds, and others merely cease growth until spring. Many animals also become dormant, especially those that hibernate; numerous insects die. In Persian culture, the winter solstice is called Yaldā (meaning: birth) and it has been celebrated for thousands of years. It is referred to as the eve of the birth of Mithra, who symbolised light, goodness and strength on earth. In Greek mythology, Hades kidnapped Persephone to be his wife. Zeus ordered Hades to return her to Demeter, the goddess of the Earth and her mother. However, Hades tricked Persephone into eating the food of the dead, so Zeus decreed that Persephone would spend six months with Demeter and six months with Hades. During the time her daughter is with Hades, Demeter became depressed and caused winter. In Welsh mythology, Gwyn ap Nudd abducted a maiden named Creiddylad. On May Day, her lover, Gwythr ap Greidawl, fought Gwyn to win her back. The battle between them represented the contest between summer and winter.
