Personality:
Zal is kind and virtuous, and rather helpful to those who need it. He’s got an air of pure strength to him though, along with some demonic energy still, but it doesn’t seem malicious in the slightest. He’s wise and intelligent, able to quickly read people and situations. He hardly gets angry and doesn’t carry grudges usually, and isn’t one to real judge people or talk bad about them. Though he’s pure and kind, he can be a bit of a trickster. He likes pranks and loves jokes, and can act a bit silly sometimes too. He loves laughter, and is really good at covering up his true emotions by it. He’s pretty guarded about his mind and feelings, and would much rather spend time smiling. Though he’s extremely devoted to God, growing up as a demon still affects him. He has a hard time censoring his dirty mouth and he’s rather perverted, whether he means to be or not. His mind is still a gutter, despite accepting God humbly. And sometimes he can’t help but joke about something he probably shouldn’t. Though sometimes he seems shallow because of his kind and joking surface, deep down he has lots of regrets and feelings that he is not ready to uncover.

Backstory:

Appearance:
Zal is a tall demon at 6’6 human form and 7’8 demon form, since he is an elder demon. He has medium toned skin and white hair, along with red, slitted eyes. He also has white, bat-like wings that are white and fade to grey near the bottom, and each has a horn and feathers on top. His tail is rather long and black with white feathers near the end. He’s rather muscular, and his armour is black and silver.

History:
The term "humility" comes from the Latin word humilitas, a noun related to the adjective humilis, which may be translated as "humble", but also as "grounded", or "from the earth", since it derives from humus (earth).

The word "humble" may be related to feudal England where the lowest cuts of meat, or 'umbles,' that is to say whatever was left over when the upper classes had taken their parts, were provided to the lowest class of citizen. The term 'humble pie,' meaning to exist in a lowly station, may derive from this definition.

Humility is the quality of being humble. Dictionary definitions accentuate humility as a low self-regard and sense of unworthiness. In a religious context humility can mean a recognition of self in relation to a deity (i.e. God) or deities, and self-debasement with subsequent submission to said deity as a member of that religion. Outside of a religious context, humility is defined as being "unselved", a liberation from consciousness of self, a form of temperance that is neither having pride (or haughtiness) nor indulging in self-deprecation.

Humility is an outward expression of an appropriate inner, or self regard, and is contrasted with humiliation which is an imposition, often external, of shame upon a person. Humility may be misappropriated as ability to suffer humiliation through self-denouncements which in itself remains focused on self rather than low self-focus.

Humility, in various interpretations, is widely seen as a virtue which centers on low self-preoccupation, or unwillingness to put oneself forward, so it is in many religious and philosophical traditions, it contrasts with narcissism, hubris and other forms of pride and is an idealistic and rare intrinsic construct that has an extrinsic side.
