~What is Hetalia?
Hetalia is a webcomic (later adapted to a show/anime) created by Himaruya Hidekazu that parodies and uses stereotypes in the portrayal of countries and events.

~What countries can be played on the site?
Although some countries have already been given portrayals officially, not all have been introduced into the anime or the comic. So whether you'd like to create an original character or stick to the ones given, that's your choice.

~What are Nyotalia characters?
These are the female counterparts of the male countries (or vice versa if the character was originally male).

~Are Nyotalia Characters allowed?
Of course. Both Nyotalia characters and Hetalia characters are welcomed.

~Are historical figures allowed?
Yes, historical figures are allowed. But take note that some may be too controversial (such as Hitler, Putin, Gaddafi) to be brought onto the site. Proceed with caution when choosing and remember to use tact for although this is a roleplay, real-life can still apply. There are some issues which may or even for sure offend people (especially those controversial in nature).

If enough people complain, we will have to tell you to stop.

~Can different versions of characters ( Pirate Iggy, Black Kiku, etc ) apply?
Yes, there can be more than one version of a character (though we may have to limit that in order to stop the board from over-flowing with the same character from different timelines).

Do try to make sure that the personalities are distinct enough from the modern day-version though. :'D

~What is the taken characters list?
The taken characters list is the list you will use when seeing if a character is being used or not. Since we cannot stop people from randomly joining in and leaving there accounts, we have the list here in order to keep track of the active roleplayers on the site. Canon characters will be given away and considered 'dead' if they are not played for a long period of time. When this happens, he/she will then be up for grabs by a new roleplayer.

By doing this, people are given the chance to play the characters they enjoy and like; instead of having them being wasted and gathering dust in a corner.

If you do not use your character's account for more than a month without a proper reason or explanation, he/she will be considered abandoned and be up for the taking once again. But in the case that this may happen and you want your Canon Character back, simply post an explanation on the forum management ( there's no need to be specific of why you weren't one) and we'll see what we can do.

*This applies mainly for the countries in the allies, axis and those associated with them. In other words, the major characters.
*Original Characters will not lose their accounts.
