IMPORTANT: REGARDING THE REPLAYING OF DEAD CHARACTER ACCOUNTS

Ok, I need your opinions on something.

As you can see, the forum died for a while, with people making accounts and never returning to them. Since it's a shame to have those accounts unused and floating around and we need to get this place up and running, I'd like to know what you guys think about this.

I think you guys have seen it but, we have a taken character list.
Luckily, I was the one who created it before the admin left :'D

So technically, I can still change the names and content of the things in there.

Should we have people be able to reapply for the characters there who aren't being played? They can create new accounts and play the characters who died.

I can also make an added faq regarding things like playing Nyotalia characters and AU characters and answer some questions that might pop up xD. What would you guys want?

*Should dead characters be able to be taken by other new players?
*Should we be able to use alternate versions of characters (such as Nyotalia and other themed ones (Pirate England, Black Kiku)
* What about Historical figures like Joan of Arc? Should they be able to be played as well?

I'd like to hear your opinions on it so I can see if we should implement the stuff. Thanks ^^

I, honestly *kind of* think that the characters that haven't been on for awhile should be played by someone else ONLY IF the character is big, for example, an Axis, Allie or anyone related to a member of one of those teams(I.e Canada, Prussia, etc.).

I think we should have alternate characters like FEM!s and etc. That would be fun :3

That makes sense.
The OCs are technically someone else's property, so we can allow those accounts to stay as long as they need to. But the problem would really lie with the main characters such as Russia, England, Germany, and those really mentioned in the anime/webcomic ( so yeah, the Allies and Axis).
So, that seems like a good idea.

The alternate characters would also allow people to have more choices if the character they want to play is already taken.
Now, I'll get started on updating the list and the making the faq soon.

Any other things you'd like to see?

I might also come up with a requested characters list for those the members want to be taken.
I'll probably be making a separate post for that later.

And also, maybe a main Roleplay forum would be kind of nice?

And of course, coding scripts are soooo cool~ You know, where you use fancy coding and etc. to make a pretty RP post?

Correct me if I'm wrong but, I think there is a main forum for actual roleplays, if that's what you mean. It's the board labeled ' Hetalia roleplays', which then leads to a bunch of sub-boards that include (Historical, AU, etc).

I guess if the specific boards isn't there, I think you could just click new topic and create one. Then, you can play with whoever you want by inviting or keeping it open to everyone by placing the word [OPEN] in the title.

Or do you mean that we should come up with a site-wide main plotline and have everyone participate in it, though with split boards for each event? Because that seems interesting as well.

And for the webposts, that would be nice; and I've done some in the other roleplays I've joined. The only thing I'm worried about is that not everyone might know how to make one.

So, I think we can make it optional to have one or have a place where people can request to have one made if they don't know how to make one. ( Though it would help a lot in the roleplay to also differentiate between who's posting and whether they're talking, thinking,etc).

Yeah, I think it would be kind of cool to have a topic where you can request to have one done by someone else. But anyone could be like, "Sure!" And then post it right when they're done :3

And... Also, maybe changing the look of the site a teensy weensy bit *if* possible? Ice-kun's posts are kind of hard to see :X

Yes, that would be kind of cool. Like, kind of like the sister threads on Gaia. One main plot, mini threads for each event... But we would also kind of have to lock up the old thread when we move to the next event thread, right?

As for the posts... Look at Matthew's - Basically what I was thinking.

I wish I could ^^; But I have no power to change the appearance of the site or the format of the boards. Both accounts of mine are actually only members in rank. (Though apparently some thought otherwise with the actual time I've been here. Awe

)

And I'm unaware if it's possible to secure another rank without the original admin to pass on the power. Though if you know a possible way, that would be great xD

Our main problem is also that no matter how much I've tried contacting her, she has yet to reply back = ^= ; If she had made a separate administrative account or made someone else a mod, this would have been a heck lot easier.

You see, the admin left without leaving anyone with power behind.
That's why Germany, Austria and I thought we wouldn't be able to save this place.

I can probably find other colour codings that could work on the site as well, but that's really the most I can really do sadly. It's a pain in the ass that I can't do much else, but limited resources. @ -@.

We can only hope so.

Though the PM thing might work.
We only need her to make another person an admin and then she doesn't have to bother with the site again. xD So I guess if we can convince her to just come back for a while, that could work. If you're really down with the spam idea, I could help xD.

So we pretty much have to unleash our inner, obsessive, obnoxious spammers.
